Oz en Oisans is situated in the Eau d'Olle Valley, in the Oisans range, 45 minutes drive from Grenoble. It consists of ten hamlets & a resort, scattered across the western slopes of the Massif des Grandes Rousses.
Oz station is the ski resort situated at 1350 metres with a superb view over the Belledonne range. Oz offers a 'ski au pied ' resort; leave your car at the underground car park & enjoy skiing from the chalet door! Shops & services are situated along a pedestrian walkway & children can play safely outside. There is even an ice rink in the village.

Oz is one of the five resorts on Massif des Grandes Rousses. The slopes run down to the entrance of the chalet. The nursery slope with new 'magic carpet' is 100 metres away & the ESF ski school office & a crèche are just 50 metres down hill! Two lifts (12 person bubble) take you up to the centre of the ski area at an altitude of 2000 metres.

The ski area is vast & varied, with 220 kms of runs consisting of 41 greens, 28 blues, 27 reds & 14 blacks (including the longest black descent in the Alps!). Or you can stay within the Oz en Oisans ski area that extends from Vaujany to Alpe d'Huez, the ski area is 65 kms of runs, attractively priced, with 35 slopes for every ability. One of Europe's most powerful artificial snow systems takes care of the lower slopes from 2700 to 1350m. At 3330m the Sarenne glacier takes care of itself!

Close by there is also Les Deux - Alpes & the infamous off-piste area La Grave! All of which are covered on the full Alpe d'Huez lift pass.

By Road:
It is 910kms from Calais.
Enter Oz-en-Oisans into route finder destination and Oz station is 5 minutes further up the D44a.

By Air:
You can fly to Chambery ( 90 minutes drive ), Grenoble ( 90 minutes ), Lyon ( 2 hours ) or Geneva ( 2 .5 hours ).
There are a number of budget airlines to choose from, such as :
Flybe
Easyjet
Bmibaby
Ryanair

There are many car rental companies based at each airport that offer good value car hire. When passing Grenoble there are large supermarkets ( junction 8 at Echirolles ) perfect for 'stocking up' for the week..

By Rail:
The Eurostar goes to Paris from where TGV trains travel onto Geneva or SNCF trains travel to Grenoble.

By Bus:
There is a daily bus service from Grenoble to Oz & two services on Saturdays. Coaches are also available from the airports.
